When placing an order with Take @ Home, you entrust us with your personal data. We are committed to maintaining that trust. This starts by helping you understand our privacy practices.

The app
This notice applies to users of Take @ Home services anywhere in the world.

This notice describes how Take @ Home and its affiliates collect and use your personal data. This notice applies to all users of our sites and resources.

Delivery recipients: individuals who request or receive food, or other products and services

Deliverers: individuals who provide delivery or other services
This notice also governs Take @ Home's other collections of personal data. We may also collect the personal data of those who initiate, but do not complete, applications to be drivers or couriers. All those subject to this notice are referred to as “users” in this notice.

Our data practices are subject to applicable laws where we operate. This means that we engage in the practices described in this notice in a particular country or region only to the extent permitted by the laws of those locations. Data collection and uses

What we collect:

  • Data provided by users to Take @ Home, such as during account creation
  • Data created while using our services, such as location, app usage and device data

The following data is collected.

1- Data provided by users. That includes:

  • User Profile: We collect data when users create or update their accounts. This may include your name, email, phone number, login name and password, address, profile picture, payment or banking information (including related payment verification information), driver's license and other government identification documents. (which may indicate document numbers as well as birth date)
  • Background check and identity verification: We collect background check and identity verification information for drivers and couriers. This may include information such as a driver's history or criminal record (where permitted by law) and right to work. This information may be collected by an authorized vendor on our behalf. We also collect identity verification from Take @ Home users who order alcohol delivery.
  • Demographic data: We may collect demographic data about users, including through user surveys. In some countries, we may also receive demographic data about users from third parties.

2- Data created during the use of our services. That includes:

  • 2- Data created during the use of our services. Take @ Home collects this data when the website is running in the foreground (application open and on screen) or in the background (application open but not on screen) of your mobile device.
  • Location data (passengers and delivery recipients). We collect accurate or approximate location data from passengers' and delivery recipients' mobile devices if they allow us to do so. Take @ Home collects this data from the time a trip or delivery is requested until it is completed, and whenever the app is running in the foreground on the mobile device. We use this data to improve the use of our apps, including to improve collection locations, enable security features, and prevent and detect fraud.
    Take@Home collects driver location data and links the location data collected during a trip with the passenger's account, even if the passenger has not allowed us to collect device location data. This allows us to offer passenger services such as receipt generation and customer support.
  • Transaction information: We collect transaction information related to the use of our services, including the type of services requested or provided, order details, delivery information, date and time the service was provided, amount charged, distance traveled and payment method. Also, if someone uses your promotional code, we may associate your name with that person.
  • Usage data: We collect data about how users interact with our services. This includes data such as access dates and times, application features or pages viewed, application crashes and other system activities, browser type, and third-party websites or services used prior to interacting with our services. In some cases, we collect this data through cookies, pixels, tags and similar tracking technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers. To learn more about these technologies.
  • Device data: We may collect data about the devices used to access our services, including hardware models, device IP address, operating systems and versions, software, preferred languages, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers, serial numbers, device and mobile network data.
  • Communication data: We allow users to communicate with each other. For example, we allow passengers, restaurants or couriers and delivery recipients to call, text or send other files to each other (usually without revealing their phone numbers to each other). In order to provide this service, Take @ Home receives certain data relating to calls, texts or other communications, including the date and time of communications and the content of communications. Take @ Home may also use this data for customer support services (including to resolve disputes between users), for security and safety purposes, to improve our products and services, and for analytics.

3- Data from other sources. That includes:

  • User feedback, such as ratings, feedback, or praise.
  • Users who participate in our referral programs. For example, when a user refers another person, we receive the personal data of the person referred from that user.
  • Take @ Home account owners who request services for or on behalf of other users, or who allow such users to request or receive services through their accounts.
  • Users or others who provide information regarding claims or disputes.
  • Take @ Home business partners through which users create or access their Take @ Home account, such as payment providers and social media services.
  • Take @ Home Business Partners.
  • Vendors who help us verify the identity, background information, and eligibility of users to work, for regulatory and security purposes.
  • Providers of insurance, vehicles or financial services for drivers and/or couriers.
  • Partner transport companies (for drivers or couriers who use our services through an account associated with that company).
  • Publicly available sources.

Take @ Home may combine data collected from these sources with other data in its possession.

How we use personal data

Take @ Home collects and uses data to enable reliable and convenient delivery of other products and services. We also use the data we collect:

  • To improve the security of our users and services
  • for customer support
  • for research and development
  • To enable communication between users
  • To send marketing and non-marketing communications to users
  • In connection with legal proceedings

Take @ Home does not sell or share user personal data with third parties for their direct marketing, except with users' consent.

Take @ Home uses the data it collects for purposes including:

1- Provision of services and resources. Take @ Home uses the data we collect to provide, customize, maintain and improve our products and services.

  • Create and update user accounts.
  • Check the identity of drivers and couriers, background history and eligibility to work.
  • Enable transport, deliveries and other services.

  • Offer, obtain, provide or facilitate insurance, vehicle, billing or financing solutions in connection with our services.
  • Track and share the progress of trips or deliveries.
  • Enable features that allow users to share information with others, such as when passengers send a compliment about a driver, when delivery recipients provide feedback to a restaurant or delivery person, refer a friend to Take @ Home, split rates or share the HEC and location with your contacts.

  • Enable accessibility features that make it easier for users with disabilities to use our services, such as those that allow deaf or hard of hearing drivers to alert their passengers to their disabilities, allow only passenger text messages, and allow intermittent travel receipt request notifications instead of sound notifications on your mobile devices.
  • Perform internal operations necessary to provide our services, including troubleshooting software bugs and operational issues; to conduct data analysis, testing and research; and monitor and analyze usage and activity trends.

2- Protection and security. We use personal data to help maintain the security and integrity of our services and users. That includes:

  • Track couriers prior to allowing use of our services and at subsequent intervals, including through background checks where permitted by law, to help prevent the use of our services by unsafe drivers and/or passengers.
  • Use data from couriers' devices to help identify unsafe driving behaviors, such as speeding or hard braking and acceleration, and to inform them about safer driving practices. We also use data from couriers' devices to verify the type of vehicles used to make deliveries.
  • Use device, location, profile, usage and other data to prevent, detect and combat fraud or unsafe activity.
  • Using user ratings and feedback to encourage compliance with termsyou and as a basis for disabling drivers and couriers with low ratings or who otherwise violate these guidelines in certain countries.

3- Customer support. Take @ Home uses the information we collect (including recordings of customer support calls with user notice and consent) to provide customer support, including:

  • Direct questions to the customer service manager
  • Investigate and resolve user concerns
  • Monitor and improve our customer support responses and processes

4- Research and development. We may use the data we collect for testing, research, analysis, product development and machine learning to improve your user experience. This helps us to improve and enhance the protection and security of our services, improve our ability to prevent the use of our services for illegal or improper purposes, develop new features and products, and facilitate insurance and finance solutions related to our services.

5- Enabling communication between users. For example, a driver may message or call a passenger to confirm the pickup location, a passenger may contact a driver to retrieve a lost item, or a restaurant or delivery person may call a delivery recipient with information about their order.

6- Marketing. Take @ Home may use the data we collect to market our services to our users. This includes sending communications to users about Take@Home's services, features, promotions, sweepstakes, studies, surveys, news, updates and events.

We may also send communications to our users about products and services offered by Take@Home partners. While we may send communications to users about products and services from Take @ Home partners, we do not sell users' personal data to, or share with, such partners or others for direct marketing or advertising purposes, except with users' consent.

We may use the data we collect to personalize the marketing communications (including advertisements) we send, including based on user location, previous use of Take@Home services, and user preferences and settings.

7- Communications not related to marketing. Take @ Home may use the data we collect to generate and provide receipts to users; inform them of changes to our terms, services or policies; or send communications other than for the purposes of marketing Take @ Home's or its partners' services or products.

8- Legal proceedings and requirements. We may use the personal data we collect to investigate or resolve complaints or disputes related to your use of the Take @ Home services, or as permitted by applicable law, or as requested by regulators, government entities, and official inquiries.

9- Automated decision making

We use personal data to make automated decisions regarding the use of our services. That includes:

  • Correspondence of couriers available to users requesting services. Users can be matched based on availability, proximity and other factors.
  • Determine courier ratings and disable drivers, passengers and couriers with low ratings.
  • Deactivating users who are identified as having engaged in fraud or activities that may otherwise harm Take@Home, its users, and others. In some cases, such as when a user is determined to be abusing Take@Home’s referral program, such behavior may result in automatic deactivation.
  • Use of driver location information and communications between passengers and drivers to identify cancellation fees earned or induced by fraud. For example, if we determine, using this information, that a driver is delaying the passenger's pick-up to induce a cancellation, we will not charge the passenger a cancellation fee and will adjust the amounts paid to the driver to omit that fee.
